A Slice of Italy in Washington, DC
East Village, Georgetown, DC
For this project, we embraced our clients’ love of Capri, Italy, and brought a taste of the island to their home in the East Village of Georgetown.
Working closely with architect Dale Overmyer, we completely customized this Georgetown home. After gutting the interior down to the studs, we reimagined the entire layout of the home to create spaces to reflect the family’s lifestyle. After moving walls, we replaced the flooring throughout the home’s interior. In addition, we completed customized spaces for the owners’ growing children; an upper-level retreat for the son and a feminine second-floor bedroom for the daughter. We also paid special attention to highlight the owners’ extensive art collection.
A unique feature of this home is the roof-top deck we added. The private patio offers 180-degree views of the Washington, D.C. skyline from Arlington to the National Cathedral and includes serving, entertaining, and seating areas.

Italian fabrics and a blue color pallet—inspired by the blue waters of the Gulf of Naples—complement the layout throughout the home. See another of our Georgetown interior designer projects HERE.
