Other designers we spoke with touch on the uptick in earthy, organic tones and historically inspired colors, like deep greens, muted blues, and other hues that pair beautifully with natural materials and can age gracefully with the house. In the same vein, designer Tracy Morris says that people want more cohesion and are leaning towards monochromatic color schemes for their exteriors, including their window shutters. “This approach allows the home to blend naturally into its surroundings rather than stand out too boldly,” Morris explains. The end result? A house that looks both modern and classic at the same time.
