“I am very surprised by the Pantone color of the year choice. It is not a color I would select to wrap a room in; it is a really beautiful accent color to warm up a space without being too overbearing.

“This softer and warmer color is a definite departure from the bold as it is more rooted in organic, calm sensibility. Use this color as an accent in textiles—beautiful prints in large and small scale, pillows, floral and art. If you are using it as a solid, be sure to select a textile with texture like a boucle or interesting weave. A solid plain linen will feel very dated. The easiest place to incorporate this color is in a living room or bedroom, but I love this idea of also incorporating it in your bathroom through really cool wallpaper.”
