Family Retreat in McLean
Langley Forest, McLean, VA
As with any project, good design starts with truly understanding the homeowner’s needs, wants, and lifestyles. In this instance, our clients were to maximize the space in the home for their active, growing family.
For this project, we chose a transitional design style that mixed traditional and modern styles. We focused on creating light, airy, welcoming spaces throughout the home. We used materials that can withstand the wear and tear of an active family with pets. For example, we used solution-dyed acrylic fabrics from Perennials Fabrics in the common living areas. Combining aspects from various design styles allowed us to create a cohesive, modern home.

In addition to the interior, we were asked to design the homeowner’s pool and pool house, which sit on their acre lot. We picked the colors and tile and worked with Fine Landscapes to complete the project.
