TMD Townhouse Headquarters
McLean, VA
For years, Tracy Morris Design’s headquarters was in the Georgetown neighborhood of Washington, D.C. However, as we outgrew that space, we began looking for an office space to serve as our headquarters that was more convenient for staff and clients. Fortunately, we found a four-story townhouse in downtown McLean that served as both an office and residence.
The previously remodeled townhome did not have a dedicated home office, which was perfect for our needs! We used our design skills to turn the first two levels into a customized office space. We reimagined the layout to include office spaces on the first level, and an employee kitchen, a design library, and a showroom on the second floor. We added hardwood floors, warm lighting, and Benjamin Moore OC32 Tapestry Beige (a classic light greige with a balance of warm and cool undertones) throughout the office space.

We chose a light and airy palette of blues, whites, and tans for the residence. The hardwood flooring and warm lighting from the office space continued throughout the living areas. The home is a great mix of entertaining spaces and cozy nooks for relaxing.
This townhome served as TMD’s headquarters for two years before we (again) outgrew the space and moved to our current location.
