Interior Design Process

At Tracy Morris Design, we consider our clients’ unique personalities and passions at the beginning of each and every project. We ask questions to help create a home that is a true reflection of our client. We believe that every client’s house is their home. In order to do that, we must be 100 percent honest with our clients about our design principles.

Building From the Ground Up

In a recent blog post, I explained why I enjoy building homes from the ground up. I truly enjoy working with homeowners to choose the “bones” and layout of their home. I find that the moldings and light fixtures that a client selects are just as important as the wall colors and accessories. My background and interest in constructing a home can be seen in my end product. For this reason, you will not find me or a member of the team trying to cut corners to stay within a tight budget. We believe in filling a home with beautiful and functional furniture, but are not the best at furnishing a home with second-hand finds.

Transforming Spaces

I also believe in transforming spaces with furniture. We are always happy to work with family heirlooms and sentimental pieces. However, if a piece truly doesn’t fit in the space we are creating, I will be very honest with the client about that and offer alternative locations for the heirloom to be placed.

We know that we face stiff competition from other designers. We always welcome an open, honest discussion with future clients about their needs and desires.
